Do I have to live on the Peninsula to be a member?
No. The important thing is that members live close enough to the Peninsula to provide and receive services, and participate in activities, if they choose.
How much does it cost?
Yearly dues are $675 for individuals; $975 for a household. Membership fees make up about 69% of the annual budget. The remaining operating costs are provided by donations, business sponsorships, and grants.
I’m in good health, why should I become a member now?
The Village is a community. It provides volunteer opportunities for members to support others when needed and receive a little help when they need it. Village members also have many opportunities to meet new friends with fun, interesting and engaging activities and programs.
Can I buy a membership for my parents who live in your community?
Absolutely! What a wonderful way to enable your parents to remain in their own home as long as possible, and stay connected and engaged with friends and the community.
I live in Palos Verdes Estates. We have PVE-Cares. Should I become a member?
Those who live in PVE are fortunate to have PVE-Cares which is provided by the city and primarily focused on the personal safety and health of its members. The Village supplements the activities of PVE-Cares by providing reciprocal help to one another, as well as offering a rich variety of social and educations programs.
I’m a member of Peninsula Seniors, why should I become a member?
Peninsula Seniors is a key partner, and has worked closely with the Village since the very beginning. The Village adds additional value because we include reciprocal services to one another. We supplement the activities of Peninsula Seniors.
